Kitty Needs a name

Help-

I need a name for this little kitty. Nothing seems to fit for a small timid little, black kitty.

I thought Fern at first, but then realized the kitten's a he...let me think a minute...Roadie? Rocky? Soot? (He needs a non-timid name to make him brave.) I don't know, fresh out of ideas today. Have a great one:)
