Idenity theft

I am scared.. I feel so violated. My credit card bill came with 3 unknown charges today. I hope that is the only place that I find this. I called CapitolOne 3 times today and finally got through. One charge is to a pet store called Pandyshop in NY for $546. Like I need another dog with 3 already? The 2 others are for some music down loads of sort at 58$ and another for 99$.I am basically deaf so I don't do that.
The only place I have charged recently with it was at the Woolery to buy my Lendrum bag and extra bobbins. Usually I use my checking account for most things like EBay and Pay pal.It makes you paranoid thinking that somehow some evil person would do that.
The credit card had to be cancelled and now it will be another 2 weeks before I get a new one.The nice man with an accent said not to worry - right!

I know how you feel. In May my credit card was used for an air line ticket, a purchase in Italy, and a bunch of Itunes (music downloads). I had only used the card once in a year (purchase of yarn over the internet via Pay Pal). My bank took care of everything, but now I hesitate using a card at all. Now, my husband checks all our accounts (credit, checking and saving) daily. At least you caught it before it caused you credit problems.

The same thing happened to me this month. A charge to pandyshop after an order to the Woolery. It's a shame to think I can no longer order wool online.

My wife frequently buys wool online from Woolery and from Jimmy Beans. So apparently one of these on line vendors is the link. From a Google search, I note that "Pandyshop Ltd" was first incorporated in Cardiff, i.e. Great Britain, in 2006, with the NY address apparently being a secondary address, and its NY phone # is only a fax. Some terror operations generate money for their weapons through scams based in Great Britain. Anyway, she just cancelled her charge card. She has to sign a notarized letter to avoid the $500 + charge. I think these creeps know to do their work at months' end, so it gets a whole month before the victim knows.

Good luck. w23h5@aol.com

Hi,
I made a purchase from the Woolery at the end of February (a Lendrum niddy-noddy, and other things), and I had a charge of $500+ from Pandyshop on my credit card on May 9th. Just figured out there's a problem, and have several fraudulent charges, including a bunch of computer server stuff delivered to San Francisco, and other stuff to New Zealand. I'm about $5000 in the hole at this point, and because I'm late catching it don't know if I'll get reimbursed.
I'll call the Woolery and see what they know about this.
Check those statements!!
Good luck!

I contacted the Woolery by email regarding fraudulent charges to my credit card two weeks ago and have yet to receive a reply. Best of luck. No more on line charges for me. There are several on line yarn shops that will accept checks.

It was funny… About pet food…
Really, I hate internet thieves! They stole my girlfriend’s money last year. And the bill was from some ugly porno site. Freaks…

Unfortunately, identity theft is the main problem of every person who have credit cards:((( Sometimes we can do nothing with it(((
