Knitter's Day Out

This weekend we are going to the Knitter's Day Out by Harrisburg Pa. It should be tons of fun with my sister, daughter and neices all attending. My classes are "The Great Sock Divide" and "Reversable Knitting". I might even buy some yarn for the kitty Pi bed and the Prayer Shawl .

sorry no pics...

I really want to show my knitting camp pics and maybe some pug shots but it is taking forever to load and then showing error messages? Maybe it is me?

Thank god I found the spell check..I used to tell my kids in class to 'look in the dictionary' if they asked me how to spell a word. This was not to be flip or mean just because I have a major spelling problem..I was about to go search for the dictionary somewhere in a packed box.

Enough of the computer today..I am working on a mohair shawl for my daughter and I am liking it. The color is called "Bird of Paradise" . Tonight my knitting group will finish our helmet liners for soldiers. Then I am going to get help on my alpaca yarn sweater that I have restarted three times. I am doing something called Picot but not sure what they meant when you pick up the stitch below it so I didn't go any further till I ask.I love Thursday because of this knitting group at the 4 Corners Shop that is so close that I walk there...just over the bridge and into New York..I am so lucky!

I can I can I can do this

I learned to knit last March 2006 because I was going to knitting camp with my older sister. My sister said all I really had to do was drink wine.... Yeah-I could do that but did not want to look too foolish or drunk not knitting....
So I went to my local knitting shop and it all changed from there....You see I just retired from teaching so now I have this new obsession to fill the void...
I have discovered wonderful things..books, blogs, friends, yarn, projects and I can stay up till 2 am if I want- knitting ,of course !
Wendyknits.net has been blog I look forward to everyday.. I read her book yesterday and realize I am not alone...I am so excited about knitting!

This blog does not seem to have spell check ?
